Announcing The Blue Beat Label Record Store Day releases that will be available from participating record stores on August 24th and October 29th.
Due to the on-going measures surrounding COVID-19, Record Store Day 2020 has now been split over three dates: Saturday August 29th, Saturday September 26th and Saturday October 24th. You can find the 2020 releases and their new Drop Dates on the RSD website.
More details about social distancing measures will be put in place by each store and be issued closer to the time and the releases will also be made available online from participating record store websites at 6pm on each of the release days.
Originally there was going to be one exclusive release from The Blue Beat Label for Record Store Day 2020 The Blue Beat Label 60 Celebration Single on limited edition 7" vinyl but we are happy to announce there are now going to be two exclusive limited edition releases to try to help support the participating stores a bit more during these difficult and extraordinary times.
These exclusive limited edition releases from The Blue Beat Label will be available from participating record stores on Saturday August 29th and on Saturday October 24th.
The first release The Blue Beat Label 60 Year Celebration Single a very special release on 7" Vinyl will be out on Saturday August 29th.
Featuring a double A side with an exclusive 60 year celebration track "Blue Beat Is Back in Town" by Marcus Upbeat and the very first A side ever released on The Blue Beat Label "Boogie Rock" by Laurel Aitken this is an exclusive limited edition 7" vinyl release for participating stores on a very special anniversary year for The Blue Beat Label.

The second release The Blue Beat Label 60 Year Celebration Album, on limited edition blue vinyl will be out on Saturday October 24th.
A very special limited edition 12" Vinyl Album to celebrate 60 years of The Blue Beat Label with all tracks re-mastered at Abbey Road Studios and presented in limited edition blue vinyl and limited edition gatefold sleeve. Appropriately, this album release will feature tracks from and related to The Blue Beat Label's culture-shaping history. Also represented will be the more recent and current chapters of The Blue Beat Label's history.

It is also planned to have "60 Days for 60 Years" of online and in-store activities to support the releases and to celebrate 60 years of The Blue Beat Label. More details on "60 Days for 60 Years of The Blue Beat Label" will be announced soon.
